Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

The University of Texas ACI Student Chapter would like to cordially invite members of the ACI Central Texas chapter to Girl Day at UT Austin.

As part of the UT ACI Student Chapter we will be participating in this university-wide event, which brings thousands of boys and girls to campus to spread awareness about the various engineering disciplines. In previous years we've had tremendous success in getting kids excited about concrete and teaching them the basic principles of the material.

Members of the ACI Central Texas chapter can participate by either volunteering or simply by attending with their families.

Please sign up to volunteer for Girl Day, happening on Saturday, February 22nd. This event, which is UT ACI Student Chapter's biggest outreach effort of the year, will bring thousands of bright young minds yearning to learn about concrete to the UT campus. Over 8,000 students are expected to attend Girl Day. This is your chance to inspire future concrete engineers! Sign up to volunteer here.

  • Are you passionate about teaching kids (and parents) the difference between cement and concrete?
  • Are you eager to teach the basic principles of concrete continuously (and nonstop!) for hours on end?
  • Do you want to lead kids in hands-on research by smashing concrete disks to pieces and letting them take home little concrete figures?

Then please join us at our ACI booth during Girl Day and help us spread the sacred knowledge of concrete!
