Committees

Unless otherwise noted, membership on and participation in ACI Central Texas Chapter Committees is open to ACI Central Texas Chapter members. If you are interested in joining a committee, please contact the Board Liaison or Committee Chair for that committee.

ByLaws Committee

This committee seeks to revise and update the chapter bylaws to maintain consistency with the requirements of ACI National. Membership to this committee is appointed by the Board of Directors.

Certification Committee

This committee serves to administer the certification programs offered by the Central Texas Chapter. This includes developing the schedule of certifications, collecting fees, scheduling supplemental examiners, administering the tests, and filing the appropriate paperwork with ACI National to ensure that candidates are tested and certified in accordance with the guidelines set forth by ACI National.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH Committee

This committee identifies, initiates, and coordinates community outreach opportunities throughout the Central Texas area, targeting charitable causes that contributes to the community at large.

Construction Awards Committee

This committee accepts nominations for innovative concrete projects in the Central Texas Area.

This committee serves to promote the interest of the chapter.

Membership Committee

This committee maintains records of current dues paying members, collects membership dues, and verifies current membership status at monthly meetings.

NOMINATIONS Committee

This committee accepts nominations for future elections, screens nominees, and submits proposed election ballots to membership prior to annual elections. The committee is chaired by the Past President and consists of three additional elected members.

Scholarship Committee

This committee establishes the guidelines by which the local chapter will advertise and award scholarships to individuals seeking an education and career in the Concrete Industry.

This committee seeks to find qualified individuals to give presentations at monthly chapter meetings.
