December 2021 Ronald McDonald House Volunteer Event

Special thanks to Tyler, Alexa, Nancy, and Charles who participated in our volunteer event on Friday, December 4, 2021. ACI Central Texas Members volunteered at the Ronald McDonald as part of the house meal provider program. Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. The Ronald McDonald House is a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little to no cost. Our volunteers prepared a wonderful meal for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald house consisting of beef fajitas, chicken fajitas, Spanish rice, refried black beans with queso fresco, guacamole, chips, and more! Further, our volunteers positively represented the ACI Central Texas Chapter in the community and we cannot thank them enough. Please keep an eye out for future opportunities where you can positively engage our community with ACI’s Community Outreach program.
