February 2023 STEM Girl Day

A big thank you to Nancy Beltran and Charles Hammond who participated in our volunteer event on Saturday February 25, 2023. Our ACI Central Texas Chapter partnered with the University of Texas at Austin's Statistics and Data Science Department to participate in event for STEM Girl Day 2023. The "Statistics with Skittles" activity consisted of giving each participant a small bag of skittles and a corresponding worksheet to track the distribution of skittle colors within a bag. The participants worked to complete the worksheet with the volunteers help so they could gain an appreciation for basic statistics! Our volunteers positively represented the ACI Central Texas Chapter in the community and we cannot thank them enough.
